Ramses Delafontaine

Historian Ramses Delafontaine received a BA of Arts in History in 2012 with Honors and a MA in History in 2013 with Great Honors from Ghent University.

During his studies in History, Delafontaine also followed courses at Ghent University Law School.

In the fall of 2014 Delafontaine started his Ph.D. under the title of “The Judge and the Historian” as a FWO fellow at the history department at Ghent University.

Ramses Delafontaine has finished his first monograph with Springer on historians as expert witnesses in U.S. tobacco litigation. The book is titled: “Historians as Expert Judicial Witnesses in Tobacco Litigation: A Controversial Legal Practice.” More information on the book can be found here: Historians as Expert Judicial Witnesses in Tobacco Litigation.

During the academic year 2015-2016 I am at Stanford University as a Fulbright Scholar and FWO Fellow to continue my research on historians as an expert witnesses.
